IM Xtreme Challenge Questionnaire for Coaches

USA Swimming’s national Age Group Development Committee is interested in your feedback regarding the IM Xtreme Challenge (IMX) program that USA Swimming has developed. The IM Xtreme Challenge events for swimmers are: (age groups are listed first)
  9-Under & 10: 200 IM, 200 Free, 100 Back, 100 Breast, 100 Fly
  11 & 12: 200 IM, 400/500 Free, 100 Back, 100 Breast, 100 Fly
  13 through 18: 200 IM, 400 IM, 400/500 Free, 200 Back, 200 Breast, 200 Fly

Once a swimmer has legally completed those events for his/her age group, an IMX score is calculated by the SWIMS database. The IMX score for any athlete can be found at www.usaswimming.org by following these directions:
1. go to the USA Swimming website home page,
2. click on the left-hand side navigation bar for Times/Times Standards,
3. click on IM Xtreme Challenge which is listed about half way down the side.

That will take you to the IMX page and give you an explanation of the program along with examples of information you can obtain for your athletes.

The following questions should take 8-10 minutes to answer and are focused on the USA Swimming scoring system for registered athletes who have completed the IM Xtreme events within a swim season (short course yards and/or long course meters). The Age Group Development committee thanks you for your participation in helping us gather very valuable information.
