Join the UNCF Institute for Capacity Building November 9-11, 2011, in Atlanta, GA at the Omni Hotel, to learn how special-mission institutions can sustain themselves, grow and even thrive in a rough economy. The conference begins at noon on the 9th and ends at 11:30 on the 11th. The conference features best-practices and tools minority-serving institutions can use to increase productivity and effectiveness in six critical areas of the academic enterprise: enrollment management, institutional advancement, curriculum and faculty enhancement, fiscal and strategic technical assistance, executive leadership and governance and facilities and infrastructure enhancement. UNCF is celebrating five years of capacity buildingāstrengthening its member institutions, the broader HBCU community and other minority-serving institutions to achieve our shared goal of increasing the number of minority college graduates. Speakers include Dr. Jawanza Kunjufu, a best selling author on African American Males and education strategies for students of color, and Dr. Belle S. Wheelan, president of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. Registration is $350 per person.
