We invite you to participate and share this e-mail with all of your anesthesia colleagues involved in liver transplantation. This survey aims to understand differences in practice within each institution in addition to those differences between institutions. Investigators from Vanderbilt University, the University of Colorado, Tufts University, University of California at San Francisco and the Liver Intensive Care Group of Europe (LiCAGE), have organized a consortium of Institutions that submit data on anesthesia practices and outcomes to a newly established databank. The Liver Transplant Anesthesia Consortium (LTrAC) is a funded and IRB approved (Vanderbilt University) survey tool. The data will be used to build a multinational databank that is open to all participants. We continue to de-identify any data prior to publication or future research use in order to avoid recognition of individual institutions, care providers, or patients. You must complete this entire survey for your data to be included in the final results.
Results from preliminary analysis of our first survey LTrAC Survey 101, will be presented at the upcoming 2008 Joint International Congress of ILTS, ELITA & LICAGE.
To thank you for your participation and time, upon completion of the survey, you will receive a $5 gift certificate from Starbucks.
